P & C Meeting

These are held each month at the school and I look forward to meeting on a form basis with our parent group.  It is an opportunity to share ideas, practices and hear information in relation to curriculum matters, school programs and governance issues.

The P & C meetings start at 7.00 pm and are held in our school library.

Let’s keep working together for our students and our school so that Jamison High School remains a school with quality teaching, excellent facilities and enriching programs.

P & C NEWS

We would like to invite parents to attend our P & C meetings held on Tuesdays in the 4th and 8th week of each term.  We meet at 7.00 pm in the school Library, which is in the main building on the first floor, just at the top of the stairs.

If you have any concerns or questions about the running of the school this is the best venue to have your questions or complaints handled, as you are dealing directly with the Principal.

Also the P & C would like to commend the students on their great effort in wearing school uniform.  Congratulations to Fragar House for winning the competition.  Congratulations also to the students who won the gift vouchers!

School Diaries

In line with our focus on quality teaching and learning the school provides students with a school diary.  The diary has a number of purposes:

  • It provides a means by which students can organise their own homework and study commitments in an effective way.  All students are regularly given homework and this should be recorded in the appropriate pages of the diary.  The information will be of use to both student and parents.
  • The diary provides parents and student with important information on school policies and procedures including uniform, behaviour expectations, homework and study hints.
  • Provides a means for teachers and parents to communicate with each other.
  • Students are required to have their diary with them in each lesson.

We urge you to supervise your child’s diary and assist in organising a timetable of home study. The development of good learning habits is a life-long activity and we hope that this will assist all students to be better learners, to achieve better and gain more from their time at Jamison High School.
